 what is a yuppie?

According to google:

hmm... fair enough, pero for me, as pinoys, the moment you got involved with the corporate world,  or if pasok ka dun sa part na:

young

at syempre dapat pasok ka din dun sa:

who works in a city job

It is considerable na pinoy yuppie ka nga...
The "luxurious lifestyle" part na line, I really don't like it, kasi it sets people apart, it becomes a limiting factor to define a yuppie... a true PINOY yuppie.

 For me lifestyle has a minimal impact on what it is to be a yuppie, let alone to be a pinoy yuppie. Because lifestyle dictates how a person lives; being "yuppie" is not how you live, it is a social identity.

Yuppie is actually just a derogatory form of a "young professional", I believe kasi na anyone: who works a decent job that pays out, abides by the law and the nature of the society; is a yuppie... 

Having a job or owning a business, anything that's professional,yeah basically that's it. Yun na yun!

But, how we define a professional or professionalism depends on you; how you attribute yourself to it, will result if you truly are a yuppie, an aspiring yuppie, graduated from being a yuppie or a former yuppie, or an-egotistical-person-who-is-self-proclaimed-na-ayaw-makihalo-sa-iba-kasi-they-believe-they're-better-than-them... -yuppie? (just kidding... or not? LOL ... really kidding).

Anyways, It is up to you which one of these are you.

Now that we have set aside the definitions of a yuppie, and na-categorize mo naman na yung sarili mo if pasok ka; let's move on to the goals of this blog. But before that, sino ba muna ko at bakit ang lakas ng loob ko mag share ng mga ganito eh I myself is a yuppie rin, at bata pa, hilaw pa kumbaga.

Personally, The goal of this blog is to inform through my raw experiences and ideas, and personally learn from you guys as well. Probably, You, who is reading this right now, is on the same pedestal as me: Young, first job, new to the industry you're in, aspiring success, climbing the corporate ladder, aims to build a business someday, and dreams to build an identity; Pleased to meet you.


and it's also possible, that You, reading this line right now, is a former yuppie, and might be: a successful entrepreneur now, a businessman, above the corporate ladder, or currently in the place you ought to be; then it would be highly appreciated to share your thoughts, ideas, stories and experiences; for us to grow and you be a contributor towards that aim. For I believe, what is brought on the table, is important... but what is intangible, is of the highest value. Pleased to meet you as well.
